The whip antenna offers excellent performance in transmitting signals from even the most challenging environments, while the FAA and Cospas-Sarsat certification guarantees compliance with international aviation safety standards.

Designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind, the Artex ELT 1000 is a cost-effective solution for enhancing the emergency communication capabilities of general aviation and commercial aircraft. Available now at AirParts.Aero, this ELT provides reliable, life-saving technology that every aircraft operator can depend on.

The Artex's 8203 model Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT)1000 is an excellent, cost-efficient option for upgrading standard 121.5 MHz transmitters, which are longer monitored by the Cospas-Sarsat System. This ELT 8203 model boasts a single-output design, enabling transmission on both 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz using a single RF output and a coax cable. The 406 MHz signal ensures a precise position within a range of 1.86 miles. By integrating with the aircraft's navigation system through the built-in GPS interface, the ELT's accuracy is further enhanced to approximately 110 yards. Notably, the GPS interface operates independently of aircraft power, and the remote switch only necessitates two wires, effectively reducing installation costs and labor. The ARTEX ELT 1000 serves as a value-driven upgrade, offering a significantly more accurate position of approximately 3 kilometers compared to the 15 to 20 kilometers achieved by 121.5 MHz transmitters. When coupled with the aircraft's navigation system via a navigation interface, the ELT 1000's accuracy is further improved to approximately 100 meters.
