The Lycoming Vernatherm Thermostatic Oil Cooler Bypass Valve Assembly, OEM part number 53E22144, bolts directly into Lycoming Oil Pressure Screen Housing, OEM Part Number 69510, protected by a Lycoming Oil Pressure Screen, OEM part number 62817, mounts onto the accessory housing on a Lycoming Gasket, OEM part number 61173.

A second Service Instructure issued in July 2016 explains the exchange or replacement of the pressure-operated bypass valve with the vernatherm assembly.
