Lycoming Magneto Drive Cushion - 68H22624

Magneto cushion – will fit most all engines.  Each magneto requires two cushions. 

The Lycoming Magneto Drive Cushion - 68H22624 is sold individually. Each magneto will require two cushions. To install, hold the cushion in place with a little bit of seal lube during assembly to prevent the cushion from falling into the magneto accessory case. Over time, magneto cushions get hard and brittle. As expected, these cushions work in very harsh environments and should be replaced every 5 years or 500 operating hours, and as specified by the OEM's service documentation. Check with your OEM's Magneto service and overhaul manual for exact service intervals and to verify the part numbers required for needed maintenance and repair.

This revision of Service Instruction No. 1299 includes installation instructions for a new magneto drive gear P/N LW-13899 and a new matching drive cushion P/N 68H22624 that are available to replace magneto drive gear LW-13642 and drive cushion LW-13641 as a matched set.
